Nomad

Las Vegas, NV

The Hotel

To be honest I wanted to stay at this hotel for quite some time, and since we made plans to go to the Usher residency at the Dolby Live Arena, it gave us a chance to stay here as a matter of convenience.  The Nomad is a luxury hotel within a hotel.  It’s located on the upper floors of the Park MGM.  Upon arrival, you’ll notice that the front desk crew will be smooth and graceful, which coincides with the old world luxury that surrounds you.  Another thing you will notice is that the lobby, just like the rest of the Nomad hotel, is dark.

The Room

The rooms are dark, in fact I can safely say this was one of the darkest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The lack of floor to ceiling windows doesn’t help with lighting. Upon closer inspection, we noticed a little more dust than what we’re accustomed to for hotel rooms of this level.

We stayed in The Altier Room, which has a free-standing bathtub in the corner of the room. I personally didn’t have a problem with it, but be aware that it may seem ackward.  Also, the bed was lower to the ground and the mattress was kind of lumpy.

The  VVagal  Experience

Nothing went wrong during our stay at this hotel.  In fact, the customer service was marvelous.  But because of the dark room, lumpy mattress and lack of floor to ceiling windows I give it a thumbs down.

Was it worth the splurge?  With other luxury options available in Vegas, it's not.
