Virgin Hotel
Las Vegas, NV
The Hotel
The Virgin Hotel (formerly the Hard Rock) is in a contemporary building just off the strip. I was excited to stay here because up to this point I had only stayed at hotels on the strip.

The Room
At check-in, the staff was courteous and quick, we were greeted with a smile and an upgrade to a king chamber suite (think junior suite). Upon entering, we noticed that the room was modern and spacious. After a closer inspection, I can say the room was spotless. For businesspeople, there’s enough outlets and USB ports for any tech equipment needs. The bathrooms are good news, bad news. The good news: dual sink which is very handy when you’re with your significant other. Bad news: rooms are shower only, so keep that in mind for those who like the occasional soak.
The VVagal Experience
On our rare night flight to Vegas, we decided to stay one night at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas at the beginning of a four-night stay. During our stay, self-parking was free and the walk from the parking garage to the resort was quick. Once inside, the casino was surprisingly empty. As a matter of fact, I have never seen any casino in Vegas that empty… morning, noon or night. Other than that, there was nothing unusual or extraordinary about our one-night stay.
Would I stay again? Considering that it’s off the strip in a quiet part of town…no.
